Rashmika Mandanna is thrilled to be working with veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan in her upcoming Bollywood film, Goodbye. The two will be sharing screen space in the Vikas Bahl directorial venture, produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms. Goodbye is Rashmika’s second Bollywood film, after Mission Majnu, where she will be seen opposite Sidharth Malhotra, and she says that she never imagined she would get a chance to work with the Bollywood icon so soon in her career.

“I’m truly grateful to be working with Mr Bachchan, and never did I think that I’d be sharing the screen space with sir so early on in my career. I am totally looking forward to the shoot to start off with him and to make as many memories as possible and have fun. I am sure to learn a lot from him,” said the Mission Majnu actress, adding that she is, “nervously excited to start working with sir on the sets of Goodbye. This is an opportunity I wouldn’t miss for the world and I’ll make the most out of it.”
Apart from Big B and Rashmika, Goodbye also stars Shivin Narang and Pavail Gulati.
RASHMIKA BEGAN FILMING FOR GOODBYE, BIG B TO START SOON
While Rashmika has already begun filming Goodbye, Amitabh Bachchan will soon join her. Producer Ekta Kapoor, shared pictures of the clapboard of Goodbye along with the mahurat shot of the film which took place on Thursday, April 1. Amitabh, who recently got the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, is expected to join her in the first week of April.
Ekta Kapoor penned a heartwarming message for Amitabh Bachchan expressing excitement about working with him in Goodbye. She wrote, “This is how it’s (hopefully) going! Finally working with the ONLY actor Iv been waiting to work with … who I spent my childhood obsessing over @amitabhbachchan! Wat an honour sir / uncle ! Welcoming new beginnings with #Goodbye (sic).”

Rashmika Mandanna too shared pictures from the mahurat puja on the sets of Goodbye, and wrote, “I love it when it’s all about performing and this is one such project. Thrilled to be a part of this amazing journey #Goodbye (sic)!”
Goodbye is touted to be a slice-of-life story that revolves around a funeral. It marks Ekta Kapoor and Vikas Bahl’s collaboration after their critically acclaimed films Lootera and Udta Punjab. “Goodbye is an extremely special subject that has emotion and entertainment in equal measure. It’s a story that every family will identify with. I am ecstatic to be working with Mr Bachchan and thrilled to present Rashmika Mandanna in this beautiful film,” Ekta Kapoor had said about the film.
