The second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic is having a detrimental impact on the health infrastructure of the country, as well as the economy. The fear of loss of business has prompted several employers to take drastic steps, including laying off several employees. However, these retrenched employees are coming back with a vengeance to start their own enterprises, including eateries and food businesses. For instance, a woman from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, was laid off from her job but she decided to start her own dhaba business which serves an economic thali priced at just Rs. 30! Take a look:
Indu, a woman from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, shared the post on her handle @lostgirl005. She wrote in her tweet, “Due to my job loss, I have started a new venture “Indu da Dhaba” having a thali of Rs. 30 only. Wish me luck.” The tweet garnered over 40.6k likes and 5.5k retweets since the time it was shared. In the picture, we could see a simple Indian meal served in a stainless-steel plate. We could spot Rajma-Chawal, a chapatti, Boondi Raita and a few onions as part of the delicious thali priced at just Rs. 30/-.

In the recent past, we had also seen the news of a Mumbai-based chef who lost his job at a luxury cruise ship amidst the pandemic. He decided to start his own biryani stall selling quality biryani for his loyal customers, as he was the sole breadwinner for his family.
