Right-arm fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has done well in domestic cricket and former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar said that Team India has been following his performances for a while now.

- He was the 2nd-highest wicket-taker (17), behind Siraj in the 2017-18 season of Vijay Hazare Trophy
- He was picked up by the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2018 due to his success in the domestic circuit
- He has a tendency to be a little expensive with the ball as his economy rate in IPL is 9.33
Former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar said that Karnataka fast bowler Prasidh Krishna, who recently earned a maiden call for Team India for the ODI series against England has been under consideration by the team for a while now.
The 25-year-old right arm pacer from Karnataka has played 48 List A games, bagging 81 wickets at an average of 23.07.
“Prasidh Krishna has been considered a very good bowler in the shorter formats for a long time. When I was with the team, there used to be discussions about him as a good option,” Bangar said on Star Sports.
The 25-year-old has been impressive in the domestic circuit for the last 4-5 years with incredible performances in Vijay Hazare Trophy in the 2017-18 season. He was the second-highest wicket-taker (17), behind Mohammed Siraj in the season where his team Karnataka went on to take the title.
He followed it up with another successful season in 2019-20 where he once again took 17 wickets.
Was picked up by KKR in 2018
He was picked up by the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2018 due to his performance in Vijay Hazare Trophy and went on take 10 wickets in 7 matches at an average of 26.
He has played irregularly for the KKR franchise in the following two years and picked up a total of 18 wickets in 24 matches for the team. He has a tendency to be a little expensive though as his economy rate in IPL is 9.33
“His biggest speciality is that he has played 24-25 IPL matches. So he knows very well how to understand the situation and bowl according to the field settings. He has a sound head and can make good decisions,” added Bangar.
