Amitabh Bachchan is awaiting the release of his next, Chehre, co-starring Emraan Hashmi, Rhea Chakraborty among others. The Rumi Jafry directorial venture will release on April 9. And a day before that, Abhishek Bachchan will take OTT by storm in The Big Bull, premiering on Disney+Hotstar on April 8. Yup, Big B’s little boy is all grown up, and the veteran actor identifies that clearly. His latest Instagram post is proof.
BIG B WISHES ABHISHEK FOR THE BIG BULL
Abhishek’s The Big Bull releases a day before Amitabh Bachchan’s Chehre. Under normal circumstances, you’d probably witness a box-office clash between the father-son duo. However, these are different times. This means, while Big B’s Chehre will release in theatres, Abhishek’s The Big Bull opts for a direct OTT release. But that isn’t going to stop a doting father from wishing his son.
Amitabh Bachchan took to Instagram to wish his son all the best for the big release, and added a note on how when a son grows into his father’s shoes, he doesn’t remain a son but becomes a friend instead.
Big B wrote, “When your Son starts wearing your shoes .. and tells you which path to take .. he is no longer your Son .. he becomes your friend ..All the best buddy .. remember .. WHTCTW (sic).”
What is WHTCTW, you ask? Yes, that’s what Twitterati is discussing. We’ll tell you when we know.
ALL ABOUT CHEHRE AND THE BIG BULL
Chehre, set to release in theatres on April 9, stars Emraan Hashmi, Annu Kapoor, Raghubir Yadav, Rhea Chakraborty and Krystle D’Souza, apart from Amitabh Bachchan. The film is an edge-of-the-seat thriller and the trailer piques one’s interest right away. On the other hand, The Big Bull, starring Abhishek Bachchan as Hemant Shah, a character inspired by Harshad Mehta, is set to release on Disney+Hotstar on April 8. The Big Bull, quite like Hansal Mehta’s1992 Scam: The Harshad Mehta Story, takes us through the rise and fall of the stockbroker.
