India Legends outshined a dangerous Sri Lanka Legends to win the inaugural Road Safety World Series by 14 runs in Raipur on Sunday. The match saw Yuvraj Singh, Yusuf Pathan and Irfan Pathan rise to the occasion and deliver an all-round performance to see off a stiff challenge from the Sri Lanka Legends led by Tillakaratne Dilshan.
Chasing a target of 182, Sri Lanka Legends were at once cruising at 62 for the loss of no wicket in 7.1 overs. However, a floodgate of sorts opened once Dilshan (21 off 18) departed. Chamara Silva could manage only 2 before the third wicket fell in the form of a well-set Sanath Jayasuriya (43 off 35).
